Emulsifying Wax

Emulsifying wax is used in lotions and creams as a thickener and emulsifier. Its main purpose is to make sure that the oil and water ingredients in the recipe bind well together and stay combined. Without an emulsifier, the oils in the product will not mix with water.

Despite its name, emulsifying wax do not perform anything like beeswax or other types of waxes and cannot be substituted for them.

Emulsifying Wax is used in body butters, creams, lotions, hair treatments etc.
